Open up time and space away from everyday routines and habitual patterns

When our experiences become less familiar, we have the chance to increase awareness of ourselves, each other, and the world. Through the light of awareness we can more easily open ourselves to curiosity and wonder. This naturally increases our learning capacity and we have time to practice taking care of ourselves and our lives. When we can begin to taste the fruits of our efforts, we are more likely to stay committed to these new found practices.

A Sacred Shift

Prince Edward County, Ontario

SEP 20 - 22, 2019

India was a trip of a lifetime, especially given the way Lisa designed the trip, excursions and towns we visited. Despite always having the intense desire to go to India, safety was a major concern of mine. I knew after spending 200 hours with Lisa through my yoga teacher training that I could trust her to lead me on this trip. I never once, throughout the entire trip, felt unsafe in any regard. Lisa provided a safe space, both physically and emotionally, for us to dive deep within ourselves and explore the parts that we both push aside and grapple with on a daily basis. Amongst learning about the history and culture, visiting sacred temples, meeting and getting to know some truly extraordinary people and living amid the monkeys, Lisa provided a truly a life-changing experience.

Exploring Puglia, Italy alongside Lisa Messina was genuinely the single most raw and beautiful experience of my life. The holistic environment of the retreat itself felt unique in ways that pulled me closer to myself through the most delicious food, deep and consistent practice, genuine company and authenticity. I felt no surprise in feeling at home in a place I had never been. There is something to be said about a family-run retreat centre, especially the travelling with someone like Lisa who provides only the most love, support, and guidance for us all. Lisa, as an experienced retreat leader, traveller, and teacher held space for the exact growth I had only dreamed of experiencing.
